The predecessor of Northern Energy & Supply was originally founded in 1904 at Donsö, Gothenburg.
In the company’s early days, kerosene was the main product sold, later expanding to “solar oil,” which was delivered by the barrel to local boats. To facilitate home deliveries and better serve the fishing fleet, a vessel named Anna-Mari was acquired in the early 1900s.
By 1911, the company began handling fuel oil in barrels, a practice that continued until 1923, when the Anna-Mari was upgraded and converted into a tanker vessel. This was a significant step toward modernising fuel transport and expanding the company’s maritime operations.
Today, several hundred million gallons later, our company still runs by the third and fourth generations.
The General Terms and Conditions for purchase, sales, delivery of fuels, sales and delivery of lubricants and other products apply to all agreements entered into by Northern Energy & Supply.
